Hampton by Hilton

Following the success of introducing ‘Dave’ and his friends to the UK market in 2018, we were asked to extend the campaign into 2019, using the global ‘Real Travel’ platform in a relevant way in the UK.

We shot a series of fun holiday and travel-related scenarios in which our protagonists seem to find themselves – wedding, parties, trips abroad, festivals and sporting events. Unbeknownst to his two pals, our third character ‘Dave’ has bailed, and sensibly checked into a Hampton by Hilton hotel and is enjoying a comfy bed, a nice drink and a filling breakfast.

The campaign ran across a hero sponsorship of Channel 5’s Travel & Adventure programming. The initial results demonstrated a 17% pts lift in prompted awareness, 15% pts lift in brand consideration and increased social engagement of 20%.

 

My Involvement

I was the Production Designer responsible for all prop and set design, including re-creating a child’s bedroom in a disused room on-location at an Army Barracks. Alongside this I also fulfilled my role as in-house Production Manager working alongside the Producer.
